BOATING
Immortal Power

WOW, PUT THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION, TURN IT, AND :.. "CLICK." YOUR %&^@ BATTERY'S DEAD.

Everyone's run out of Juice at one time or another, which 'can ruin a day of boating' quicker than a sallboter's bash at Party Cove. Here . are a few products and tips that help put this worry on the back burner.

THE EQUALISER. It may look like just a plastic jar filled with water, but the new Battery Equaliser works 'magic. This restorative fluid contains chemicals that dissolve sediment, calcification, and corrosion from a battery's lead plate grid, as well as alloying properties that impregnate the lead plates. Sulfates used in the mix repair damaged lead plates in the used battery and protect the plates in new ones. To find out how well Battery Equaliser works I used it on a dead deep-cycle battery. I charged the battery and hooked it up to my rack of halogen night-fishing lights. The battery lasted seven minutes before dying. 1 added Battery Equaliser and recharged—the halogens burned for 54 minutes.

Battery_Equaliser is '.. supposed to work '- best after five cycles, so I kept trying:
The second time they burned 69 minutes, then 80, then 95, and, on the final cycle, ; 110 minutes.

A new battery powers the lights for about 140 minutes, so this stuff brought my old, dead battery to almost-new status. Price: $7.95/3.5 oz. Contact Battery Equaliser at 888/851-4431.
