RE:  RESULTS OF BATTERY EQUALISER TEST

    Just wanted to give you the result on the test with our Tennant floor scrubber. As you recall you treated the two 18 volt batteries in our machine in early December. At that time it was charging for 5 1/2 hours and running for 3 1/4 hours. We really needed to get a little more work time out of it for cleaning the floors. Within two weeks after the treatment (you advised it would take at least a week for the additive to effect the batteries fully) my machine was charging for 4 1/2 hours and running for 4 1/2 hours and is the same three months later. It's hard for me to believe that the performance of batteries less than a year old could improve that much.

    Because of the reduction of charging time I checked with SDG&E to see if there would be a cost savings on my utility bill. Their estimate of the savings will be about $250.00 per year on that one piece of equipment. I had arrived at that figure by taking the amperage draw of 9 amps and multiplying it by .748 to get the kilowatts. Because the battery charges 1 hour less, I save 1kilowatt hour a day. Our average cost is $.67 per kilowatt hour. With all of our battery powered equipment, the savings will be several thousand dollars per year and seems to be about three times the cost of the treatment. You will probably be getting a call from SDG&E as they seem very interested in your product.

    There also will be additional savings associated with the use of Battery Equaliser. With the way your product cleans and protects the plates in the battery, I would guess I could extend the life of the batteries by 50% to 100%. There is also the savings in manpower due to changing out the forklift batteries less often because the charges last longer. I can't put a dollar figure on this, but I expect it would be many times the savings of the power consumption.

    I just wanted to let you know that I am very pleased with the results and the order is in the works for all the batteries at the Carlsbad store.
