Battery Equaliser Test
Penske Truck Leasing
September 10, 2003
These tests have been completed by the Head Mechanic at the Belfield Branch. The tests were third party verified by Rob Cunningham (Branch Service Manager.)
Five batteries were used in. this test. The first four batteries came from a sold XTL unit, and
the fifth was from a Cargill Volvo unit. The first four were condemned
by the Head Mechanic, and the fifth battery was condemned by another
shift.
All five batteries were treated with 15 ml of Battery Equaliser per cell. All batteries were charged initially, and load tested before treatment. At each subsequent load test, each battery had the surface charge removed with the initial load test. Final load test was at 1/2 of the cold cranking amp rating. A 1.2 volt high beam lamp was used on each battery for the discharge cycle.
