Minn Kota® Offers Additive That Extends Life And Improves Performance of Marine Batteries
STURTEVANT, Wis. (July 2002) - Minn Kota "has teamed-up with Battery Equaliser" to offer an additive that can double the life and improve the performance of vented lead-acid marine batteries. Minn Kota Battery Equaliser contains a patented formula that improves the chemistry inside the battery to dissolve existing sulfation and prevents new deposits from forming.

"Battery Equaliser was developed for the industrial battery industry and is a proven additive that delivers on its promise to improve overall battery performance."
From the initial application of the electrolyte solution that is added when a battery is made, sulfation begins coating the lead plates, causing internal resistance. Aging batteries lose overall performance and require increased maintenance (more water) and charging time. Over time, sulfation will eventually choke out any electrical activity.
Minn Kota Battery Equaliser is designed to mix with the battery's electrolyte solution and dissolve existing sulfation while preventing new deposits from forming.
