Solar Power - Help cottage |

In the spring of 1997, with a lot of luck and a great friend, I received 20 2 volt batteries for free...
My wife and I own a cottage on Little Cedar Lake, in the Northern Lake Superior area. Our cottage has no road access or electricity, so generator and solar are our only sources of power. After bringing 2000 lbs. of batteries across the lake and setting them up with 3 Coleman Solar Panels and a charge controller, I couldn't get the batteries to charge to more than 11.3 Volts either by using the solar panels or directly with the generator. The batteries were old and had seen better days, but they were still usable. Setting the system up was a lot of hard work, what with the size of the batteries, our location and all the other incidentals that had to be done. I thought it was all for nothing though, as the system couldn't run much for long...
About three months after installing the system, I was reading our Cottage Life magazine and saw an add for the Battery Equaliser... After calling the 1-800 number, I spoke to a very informed gentleman who claimed that this product could possibly be of help to me with the rejuvenation of my batteries. After a 15 minute conversation with him I decided to call my local supplier and order two bottles of the product. The shipment arrived promptly and off to the cottage I went. I read the instructions and proceeded to fill my 12 batteries (that is all I am using )! That day I did not see any difference in the batteries at all. I hoped I had not wasted my hard earned money. We packed up and went home and were not able to return to the cottage for two weeks because of my work schedule.
After arriving back I approached the inverter with great trepidation, hoping upon hope that the Battery Equaliser had been up to something while I was gone. Imagine my happy surprise when I turned on the inverter and the digital readout was saying 13.1 volts. I thought this can't be right, so I turned on my 23 inch color TV and my satellite receiver and there were no alarms coming from the inverter. We left the television playing for hours just to see how long the batteries would last. Then to our astonishment, something even more amazing happened...as usual, while using the power the readouts show a drain on the power reserve left in the batteries... what we noticed this time though was although the power was being drained, as soon as the sun hit our solar panels, the batteries were charging... I mean they were charging while we had the TV and receiver running... the numbers were actually climbing... unbelievable! To say we were shocked and very happy to see the improved performance of our batteries would be an understatement! .
I have since told anybody that will listen what this product has done for our system.... Our cottage neighbour has ordered his bottles and is as impressed and happy as I am. The fact that the product does indeed do what it said it would do is impressive...
In ending this letter we would like to thank-you very much for making a superior product that has definitely improved the performance of our batteries and has helped us save money because now we don't have to use our generator when we feel like an evening of TV, playing our stereo or just turning on a light...
